Topilin Anatoly – (The Institute for Macroeconomic Research, Russian Federation)
The article considers the current situation with the migration processes in the post-Soviet space and assesses their impact on the development of the social and economic integration of the CIS countries. It is substantiated that the Eurasian migration subsystem is a part of the unified global migration system and is affected by both system-wide and specific factors. It is noted that the entry into force of the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), which included 5 CIS countries: Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan, – on 01.01.2015 opens new prospects for regulating migration flows in the post-Soviet space. It is proposed to consider the EAEU as a testing ground for approbation of the elements of the common labor market and a unified social space, the development of economic mechanisms and incentives aimed at the effective use of the aggregate labor potential of the EAEU countries.
