Abstract:

The article compares the quality of physical infrastructure (including road, rail and air transport, ports, the level of depreciation of fixed assets of infrastructure and the level and structure of investments in this sector), in Russia and in the world countries with a comparable level of economic development. The authors conclude that in general, the quality of Russian infrastructure is comparable to the quality of infrastructure in countries with a similar level of development. At the same time, the state of the road transport infrastructure is a factor that deteriorates the integrated assessment. According to the results of the analysis, we conclude that the transport infrastructure is not the main factor that restrains Russia's economic growth.
