Abstract:

Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) have a significant impact on economic growth and development of any country. In many countries, SMEs constitute the majority of enterprises. Each country has its own classification criteria, features of crediting system and credit lending models. In order to draw recommendations for the development of lending to SMEs in Russia it is necessary to analyze the experience of other countries and factors that have impact on formation of models. Based on the results of the analysis, we identified several measures to support SMEs that are the most suitable for adaptation in Russia. These measures will lead to greater demand for lending to SMEs and to more willing financing SMEs by banks.
