Tsalkin Rodion Albertovich – (The Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration)
The article considers key trends in the development of financial transactions and banking. Today the so-called "banks without branches" are emerging. It is caused by the transition to a new model of doing business in accordance with modern realities and the desire to be worthy competitors in the market. We point out such trends as the widespread use of large data, the development of virtual and peer-to-peer payments, the application of wireless data transmission technologies for better client interaction and the popularization of P2P crediting, i.e. without intermediary in the form of a bank. So we can conclude that the application of the concept of "Banking-as-a-Service" will be the most acceptable development bank vector, and financial institutions will not be the main competitors, but high-tech companies will.
