The article presents the author’s opinion on the role of economic, managerial and entrepreneurial competencies, respectively, profile departments (departments and faculties) in the training of graduates of technical universities. We justify why at a technical university there are more opportunities for the formation of entrepreneurial competencies. We present a dual model of formation of economic, managerial and entrepreneurial competencies at a technical university, the content of tools for its implementation by the example of Novosibirsk State Technical University.
