The article assesses and analyses the state and trends in the development of the Russian mobile communications market for the period from 2015 to 2016. We define the main problems that impede the development of the Russian mobile communications market. We describe the current market situation and the possible consequences. We conduct a strategic analysis of the industry. We show the trends in the development of the Russian mobile communications market. We provide analytical data for the analyzed period. On the basis of these data we form an opinion on the state of the market as a whole.
