The market of sports services is actively developing in Russia, and primarily, through the international sports competitions. This sphere of services has an important socio-economic significance for the country because it promotes not only the improvement of public health level, but also the development of national economy through the optimal distribution of resources (labor, material, financial, etc.). In this regard, the article reveals the concept and essence of the infrastructure of the sphere of sports services (including the classification of sports services), classifies sports infrastructure facilities, describes the organizational and economic mechanism of sports services market functioning. The authors also made the scheme of economic mechanism of the sports services market. We identified the features connected with the category of consumers. We also prove the institutional approach to improving the sports infrastructure management. We consider the issues of financing and investing in the development of sports infrastructure.
