Abstract:

The article considers patent and innovation activities as factors of economic development of Russian Federation. We examined the dynamics of internal costs on R&D of the Russian Federation and regions. We also studied innovation activity of organizations, the number of developed advanced production technologies, innovative products, works and services, the number of patents in the Russian Federation and regions, gross domestic product and gross region product per capita. We studied correlation between indicators using calculations of the Pearson correlation coefficient. The research results determine the impact of patent volumes on the volume of innovative products in the country. The obtained data can be used to assess the country's innovation potential.
