The article considers the state and opportunities for the development of civil society in Russia. We analyzed the impact of civil society on the Russian economy. We show that the lack of development of civil society adversely affects the economy and the quality of public administration. On this basis, the author draws a conclusion about the need to develop civil society institutions, including through the introduction of changes to legislative acts.
