Abstract:

For more than 20 years the domestic industry has been characterized by a massive de-industrialization and simplification of the structure. Searching for a solution to this problem, we propose to examine the development of the economy within neo-industrial modernization. The transition to post-industrial economy is directly associated with the scientific and technological state’s policy. The implementation of the policy implies setting priorities in the development of science and technology, and concentrating of scientific potential in the most important branches. In the article we propose to consider the electronic industry as a priority. Evolutionary development of basic products has led to a situation where only a country that has a full technological manufacturing cycle of microprocessor can be considered as a true "neo-industrial". Thus, for Russia the crucial task is the development of electronics industry within a unified national interbranch system.
