The article analyses the film financing by the Government at the federal and regional levels. We consider direction towards improvement of the mechanism of state support of cinematography organizations at the regional level using targeted subsidies. We examine main trends in interaction between the administration of the region and cinematography organizations. We also examine tasks of film commissions and define possible economic benefits for the region.
