In this article the authors present an analysis of the performed scientific work dedicated to the subject “Green standards” that has become particularly relevant in the recent decade, as well as to the feasibility of their introduction in the process of real estate construction. In the course of the research the authors have performed an in-depth analysis of the most popular certification systems, more precisely: they have discussed the main stages, the studied criteria and the process of integration of each certification in the region. For a detailed explanation of the research task the authors attempted to perform a preliminary certification in accordance with the chosen standards. They have chosen an apartment building ZhK "Sovremennik" that is currently under construction and is situated in a developing residential district of Kazan. This has enabled to obtain ranking indices that demonstrate the level of compliance to the set criteria and to identify the optimal standard for the selected region. The conclusions obtained in result of this research may be useful for developers, builders and designers interested in the introduction of “Green technologies” in order to increase competitiveness of the projects and to present the enterprise as socially responsible and eco-oriented.
