Abstract:

The article reviews the activity of the state as the actor of the modern business environment. This aspect is interesting from the viewpoint of formation and development of models of relationships between the state and the business under conditions of the market-driven economy oriented to the sustainable development. Despite of legal limitations, according to which the state is deprived the right to be involved in the business activity, the term of “state business” may be defined within the context of the engagement of the state as the subject of the business law and is applied for the study of economic processes. From this viewpoint, opinions of Russian and foreign authors are interesting that are analyzed in this study. The review of the term of “state business” as the economic category has been done on the basis of the comparative analysis of theoretic studies. The study defines the term of “state business” and gives its expanded interpretation.
