With the use of the comparative analytical method, the article assesses the data obtained within the annual monitoring of implementation of best practices in the field of labour protection and safety in subjects of the Russian Federation for 2012-2014, under the request of the Russian Ministry of Labour forwarded within preparation to the real-time conference in September 2016, under the direct request of FSBE “ARSRI of Labour” for individual events. The purpose of monitoring is the increased effectiveness of the operation of executive authorities for labour in subjects of the Russian Federation for implementation of best practices in the field of labour protection and safety in companies. Results of the annual monitoring in brief are included as the individual section that reflects the work practice of the executive authorities in subjects of the Russian Federation for implementation of best practices in the field of labour protection and security in companies to the annual report of the Russian Ministry of Labour “On Implementation of the State Policy in the Field of Labour Conditions and Safety in the Russian Federation”. The article gives the main requirements to assessment of implementation of best practices in the field of labour safety and security developed by the author, suggests indices that allow to deal with events as with the best practices, indirect indices for assessment of effectiveness of individual events, systematizes best practices according to tasks in the field of labour safety faced by the labour authorities in regions of the Russian Federation.
