Abstract:

The authors study the main problems hindering the efficient development of the milk industry in Russia from the macroeconomic perspective, provide analytical appraisal of the main factors complicating its dynamic development. The research is corroborated by practical examples and comparisons. From the perspective of management, the authors present their view of the principal directions to transform Russian milk industry into a dynamically functioning economic sector ensuring food safety of the country.
