Abstract:

Based on the economic and statistical analysis of the data of the International Energy Agency, International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), National Statistical Bureau of China, International analytical agency “Bloomberg”, Statistical Annual Report “BP” etc, conditions and prospects for development of the Chinese renewable energy industry have been studied. The work pays main attention to issues of sun, wind and hydraulic power energy industry because these directions are the most prospective ones in the structure of innovative technology solutions of the Chinese renewable energy industry. Growth in consumption of the primary energy (since 2005 – 10 945 mln t. of oil equivalent to 2015 – 13 147 mln.t. o.e.) and limited reserves of hydrocarbons (oil and natural gas) together with the growing anthropogenic load to the environment due to the use of coal as the main type of fuel, have made the Chinese government to review approaches to energy safety of the country [BP Statistical Review of World Energy, 2016]. On the verge of the transfer of the Chinese economy to the new technological mode, new trends in the energy industry are born based on the rational and careful use of existing natural resources and the search for new energy sources. Dynamic development and introduction of technologies based on the use of renewable energy sources (hereinafter referred to as RES) is one most significant trend of the Chinese energy industry development.
