Abstract:

The article is dedicated to the problem of managing the demand on energy consumption в within the frames of wholesale and retail electricity markets in Russia. The authors have identified and summarized the existing instruments for the demand management. The analysis of advantages and disadvantages of practical use of each instrument has been performed and the level of their domestic use has been evaluated. The article substantiates the necessity to develop and introduce the innovation mechanisms for managing the demand on energy consumption on all management levels.
