Abstract:

The article focuses on the fact that the primary role in the achieving the goals of establishing an innovative economy in Russia is played by the education system, including higher education. However, the formation of the Russian innovative education is facing a number of problems such as reducing quality of education in recent decades; unpreparedness of students to work independently with scientific information and its comprehension; weakening of educational activities in universities; inadequate funding of education, and others. The authors note that the development of innovative personality is the main objective of education in Russia.
