Abstract:

The article is dedicated to the problem of determination of economy role and place in the society in the light of different social and economic conceptions. The author discusses two main mutually exclusive conceptions: the economism conception and an alternative conception by a representative of Werner Sombart’s Historical Schools. The analysis is relevant due to the fact that these approaches reflect the essence of the economic systems, their crises and anti-crises policy methods.
