Abstract:

The article discusses the issue of the inflow of foreign direct investments in the automotive industry of developing countries in historical retrospective. Based on the experience of some countries, the author unraveled the specifics of the local content of foreign automotive companies and the state policies in this sphere. This research can be of interest to experts in world economy, industrial policy, and investments.
