Abstract:

The article presents the results of a structural and functional analysis of the existing and prospective priority development areas in the Russian Far East. The analysis was aimed at defining and systematizing the models which ensure stable social and economic development of the Far East regions. The purpose of this research was to study the prerequisites for further creation of priority development areas in the Russian Federation, identify economically viable schemes for integration of economic entities within priority development areas. The results of this research can be of interest to specialists working in the sphere of regional development, program and project management of executive authorities and local government, and spatial economic development.
