Abstract:

Based on various sources describing the peculiarities of appraisal activity (AA) development in Russia and 23 foreign countries and using a number of criteria, the authors divided all countries into three groups according to the development of property appraisal with the USA being the world leader. Russia, where property appraisal has been developing for a little more than two decades, takes its rightful place among the developed market economies of Europe. This material can be of interest to those who study organization of appraisal activity in Russia and abroad, students majoring in the specialty of appraiser, appraisal experts, and academicians teaching appraisal-related disciplines.
