Abstract:

The paper studies the key factors of imposition of restrictions on the capital flow and the analysis of their consequences for the economic development. The authors considered the main theoretical approaches that take into account restrictions on capital flows, analyzed the evolution of views on international organizations on such restrictions, identified key purposes of measures for restrictions on capital flows, including the independent monetary policy under a fixed exchange rate, financial stability, etc. They analyzed the experience of introduction of restrictions on capital inflow and outflow in some developed and developing countries.
