Abstract:

The article analyzes the results of works dealing with statistical testing of relationship between inequality and economic growth. And we cannot come to the firm conclusion about the nature of this relationship, however, papers that use panel data, indicate a significant negative relationship between the inequality of assets and economic growth. The author comes to the same conclusion based on the results of his own empirical research of the relationship between growth and inequality. In addition, the paper provides practical measures aimed at reducing inequality in Russia.
