Abstract:

In this article the concept of building a SOS-village for orphans in the Republic of Tatarstan has been studied. The authors propose that certain types of agricultural activities be introduced in villages for children as a special way to ensure future economic independence and social adaptation to the adult life. The conclusions drawn by the authors may be useful for social development projects.
