Abstract:
The article deals with interrelation of the two widespread phenomena, i.e. of transferring information from sources in foreign languages without support of exact textual fragments, and of incorrect borrowings from scientific papers performed in Russian. The range of potential grounds presented by those who would not quote foreign sources is performed in correlation of the two main strategies of transferring information, namely of quotation and citation. The article also describes the prevailing ways of representation of fictitiously used sources.
