Abstract:

The history of creation and publishing of “Arkhiv Biologicheskikh Nauk”, the first bilingual scientific journal among the Russian periodicals, is presented. The main directions of publishing policy for 50 years of its existence are considered, first editors, their deputies and editorial  board members are introduced. The scientific subjects of the works published in the journal are shortly characterized.
