Abstract:

Author charaterises the sign “Russian periodicals. 1703-1900”. Nikolay M. Lisovski – the first directory of periodicals.The development of scientific and practical publications for two centuries are analyzed in this paper.Transition to the exponential growth rate of scientific periodicals are fixed in the 1840–1860 period. Thematic allocation to Moscow, St. Petersburg and the provinces is showed on the basis of the index. Author provide the examples of the first academic, industry, scientific and popular publications and appreciated by the presence of the index of names of publishers and editors of journals for 200 years. The feasibility of reconstructing the history of the industry magazines, the development already found new reserves of the editorial boards of journals is under discussion.
