Abstract:

The efficiency of any country’s economic system depends on many constituent elements the most important of which is the state and development tendencies of the banking sector. The current changes in the financial markets call for the reconsideration of the role of credit organizations in the Russian economy. Based thereon, the author has attempted to characterize the main features of the Russian banking system , performed an overview of the main tendencies in bank lending that have been appearing and surging up in Russia recently, considered the problems and development prospects of the modern bank lending system, set forth the problems of ensuring reliability of the modern banking system structure and proposed possible solution of all the above-stated problems, taking into account the changing development conditions of the modern economy.
