Abstract:

In the article the analysis of food security in the southern Federal district. Are considered indicators that characterize the economic and physical accessibility of food for the population of the region. Analyses the index of production of agricultural products in the southern Federal district in 2009-2011 the affordability of food for the population of the southern Federal district is estimated on the basis of the analysis of the consumer price index for food products, volumes of food consumption, dynamics of average per capita money income of the population.
