Abstract:

Based on sociological research and monitoring, opinions of respondents were compared with the actual situation in the mesoeconomic labor market of the Republic of Mari El. The study was divided into eight parts and conducted on a five-point scale. The authors identified priorities and challenges, determined measures to improve the effectiveness state regulation of employment in the context of enhancement of differentiation of authorities of the executive power. The key areas in the modern context are engagement of executive power in balancing demand and supply of labor, the labor market and education market, professional and qualification structure of the unemployed and professional jobs cut.

► state regulation of employment is associated with regulation of the economy as a whole
► J. Keynes believed that the analysis of economic issues interacts with macroeconomic indicators
► state regulation became particularly acute in the context of instable economic development
► reform of the Armed Forces has currently little impact on the employment
► increasing rental and utility services rather strongly affect the strength of the labor market
► low competitiveness of certain categories of citizens enhances impact on the tension in employment area
► lack of a sufficient number of vacancies affects the situation in employment area
► the respondents estimate the effectiveness of the state employment policy measures as mediocre
