Abstract:

The segmentation of youth’s labor market has been systematized in this article. Based thereon, the authors have concluded that labor market segmentation involves identification of separate groups (segments) of subjects on the basis of certain uniting features. The authors describe peculiarities of approaches and methods, characterize the main principles influencing on the process of segmentation of youth’s labor market, identify the groups of criterial features on the basis of both objective (geographic, demographic, social and economic criteria) and subjective (psychographic and behavioral criteria) positions. Assessment of youth’s potential on the labor market according to the considered aspects will enable to identify the main development-hindering problems and to elaborate measures necessary to coordinate mutual interests on the level of the state, region and main labor market subjects.
