Abstract:

The article provides a short analysis of the statistical data on the external labor migration in the Republic of Bashkortostan. The authors have considered an approach to its assessment using Okun's law. A promising model for the migration control has been proposed. Eventually, the authors have drawn conclusions concerning the main directions for regulation of the external labor migration on the Republic's territory. The research results can be used by migration services, employment bureaus and other governmental bodies in charge of regulating labor migration issues in the region.
