The author discusses the problem of state entrepreneurship development as a factor ensuring growth and stabilization of Russian economy. Based on foreign experience and Russian practice, the author presents his understanding of the term “state entrepreneurship”, revealing its meaning. The key tendencies in the development of the state entrepreneurship institute have been identified. Special attention is paid to the problem of improving the management quality at the government-sponsored enterprises in the Russian Federation.
