The article reviews issues of creation of the affordable housing for the broader class of citizens. Upon results of the research it has been determined that the most important factor that determines the chance to purchase one's own house is its price. And one way to decrease it is construction of apartments balanced upon the space and layout designs. Conclusions suggested shall be actual for such players in the real estate market as developers and design institutions.
