Abstract:

One of the strategies of Russia’s economic improvement is the development of the regions, first and foremost – the Far East. In 2014 an important decision was made. According to this decision, the territories in the Far East macro-region (the so-called accelerated development territories) received a special legal status as for the entrepreneurial (investment) activities. One of the possible obstacles in the implementation of this project is shortage of staff due to the region’s worsening demographic situation. This article presents the results of the analysis of the problems of the workforce sufficiency in the Far Estern territory. The authors have analyzed the measures for stimulating the workforce inflow.
