In this article, we finish publishing the results of the survey of Russian small and medium entrepreneurs that was conducted in 2014. The first part of the study, that contains the description of the method, literature review, and the respondents’ answers to the first four questions of the questionnaire, was published in No. 15 (volume 16) of Russian Journal of Entrepreneurship (Rossiyskoe predprinimatelstvo) dated August 2015. The second part published in the next issue of the journal includes the analysis of answers to questions concerning happiness in business, CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) of the small and medium business, business ethics and innovations.Here we give the analysis of small and medium businessmen’s answers to the questions concerning the relationships of business and the state in Russia. Moreover, during the survey valuable data for development of the resource-oriented business approach were collected. The study allowed revealing the main difficulties of doing business in Russia. Also the hypothesis that the most popular advice for beginners from their more experienced colleagues is not to open their business in Russia was disproved.
