This article reviews the history of currency risks and theoretical foundations of currency risks: the author’s definition of currency risks, internal and external factors of their emersion including fluctuations of currency rates and the foreign exchange position; the author’s classification of currency risks depending on the character of their manifestation and consequences, factors, actions with the object and the opportunity of hedging; and the types of currency risks represented in the classification.
