Small businesses of the agro-industrial complex(AIC) in the social and economic development of the Ural Federal District ensure the region’s food security, promote the innovative processes acceleration and increasing of the national AIC’s competitiveness. The results of activity of small businesses – household plots, peasant (farmer) households and sole proprietors of the UFD – allow determining the need for a new management mechanism aimed at the development of the national agricultural economy and oriented to small agro-industrial business.
