The present article is aimed at discussing the role of industrial domination in the development of the Omsk region’s food industry. The analysis conducted evidences the negative influence of domination on the availability of agglomeration effects for small-sized enterprises of the industry. The author suggests a number of indicators improving the economic efficiency for those enterprises which operate in an industry with a certain dominating enterprise.
