Regional economic growth is largely determined by transport infrastructure efficiency. In this regard, the identification of growth points of the regional economy through the solution of the transport infrastructure problems becomes very acute. The authors set forth a number of promising areas and transport infrastructure projects for Volgograd Oblast, and come to the conclusion that insufficient efficiency of the functioning of the Volgograd Oblast transport infrastructure limits the possible prospects and growth of regional economy.
