The author attempts to develop theoretical and methodological provisions on the improvement of the mechanism of functioning of Russian Federation’s aircraft-building clusters: the definition of “aircraft-building cluster” has been provided, the structure of the mechanism of functioning of aircraft-building clusters has been elaborated, a method for assessing the performance of this cluster has been proposed, the recommendations on the performance improvement of aircraft-building clusters have been provided.
