Abstract:

In the academic years 2014-2015, we conducted among the students of technical universities a sociological study aimed at identifying the subjects that contribute to the formation and development of creative thinking, creative abilities and innovation activity of the future experts of contemporary domestic enterprises. We selected individual questionnaire survey and direct polling as methods for our empirical study. Our data processing methods included quantitative and qualitative analysis. It has been revealed that, on the average, only one out of ten disciplines contributes to the development of creative and non-traditional thinking, developing mostly intellectual or, to be more exact, reproductive thinking in students.
