Abstract:

Tourism has a significant effect on the economic and social development of rural areas, so the development of the tourism industry is a priority economic objective of municipalities. The paper presents a SWOT-analysis of the tourism industry potential in the Russian Federation in the segment of agrotourism. The basic problems of the industry and the ways to solve them are determined.
