The article discusses the formation of stable and efficient tax policy in Russia in the context of economic sanctions. It is stated that the simple improvement of the existing tax system, particularly without the reorientation of all the actions of the current tax and financial authorities aimed to stimulate the development of the real economy sector, will not only preclude the development of a competitive economy sector in Russia, but it also will not allow the country to become closer to the standards of developed countries.
