The formation of flexible labor market is accompanied by the distribution of types of non-standard employment. By no means are all of them new, progressive, and conducive to the creation of the innovation economics. The article contains the classification of non-standard employment types from the standpoint of rational use of working time, provides an overview of advantages and disadvantages of both of them. The authors suggest the system of criteria for the assessment of the impact of non-standard employment types on the labor market; they also analyze the state of non-standard employment in the Russian Federation.
