Abstract:

The purpose of this article is to analyze the current development of the investment activity of commercial banks in Russia. The author carries out different ways of classifying of the investment banking services offered by Russian and foreign banks. In particular, it is considered the services of the initial placement of securities on the market, trade services on the capital market and consulting services provided for companies, government, different financial institutions. The conducted analysis allows us to make a conclusion about the quality of the investment activity of banks in Russia.
