Today, the Russian labor market does not get graduates of universities of necessary specialties with the necessary level of competence. One of the reason of such a situation is a lack of cooperation between universities and representatives of the labor market. The research made by the author is devoted to the existing types of cooperation between universities and the participants of the labor market, the search of the directions of their improvement and development of new forms which allow to organize a tighter cooperation of universities and business. The aim of the research is to create the new forms of cooperation which would promote business into the education process. Proceeding from the research results, the effective method of solving this problem, in the author’s opinion, can be the creation of a united information center for universities and employers at the city and regional levels. Functions of such a center mentioned in the article will let universities meet requirements of the labor market in specialists with set range of competences more effectively.
