Abstract:

The article is concerned with elaboration of typologies of Russian regions based on implementing the author’s “technique for analysis of factors and assessment of the potential of self-development of the regional socio-economic systems” in order to separate regions in terms of their socio-economic development and to conduct comparative regional analysis. As result, 4 typologies were created and only a few regions, which are well financially supported, were made known, while one of the other typologies has industrial and agricultural perspectives.
