Abstract:

In the present work particularities of investing in ETFs in comparison with investing in shares of mutual investment funds are revealed, the dynamics of the equity markets and the market of exchange trading funds is analyzed; advantages of exchange trading funds against mutual funds are presented. The analysis and comparison are made within US, Russian and world markets. As a consequence we can surely say that developing the sector of exchange trading funds will allow Russian financial market to leave stagnant period with the help of diversified and low-cost instruments.
